Kia is back after its successful debut car in Indian automobile market. Kia is introducing its most selling car in the world back in india as Kia K5, previously known to be Kia Optima. It was also known as Kia Lotze in Korean market.
Kia K5 is a hatchback sedan which would be launched in India in year 2020 as 5th Generation Sedan. Customers would get all-wheel drive system in addition to front wheel drive system. In India, it will come as 4 petrol engine options ranging from 180PS to 290PS [PS (horse strength in German)]. It will be introduced with the choice of gasoline smartstream engine (similar to Hyundai's CVVD technology). It would come as 150 hp/ 192 Nm 2.0- litre petrol MPI engine along with a 2.0 litre engine with continuously variable valve lift (CVVL) technology. Another engine option is also available which presents car with 1.6L diesel engine with smartstream T-GDi technology which provides power of 127 PS and produces 265 Nm torque. Engine of 2.5-litre GDi engine that produces 191 hp of power along with 246 Nm of torque come along in this list.
Its variants would come as 6-speed & 8-speed automatic transmission. Most probably its T-DGi engine will get the company's eight speed wet double clutch system transmission (8DCT) system which would enhance its fuel efficiency over 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia K5 will come with 5 driving modes : Smart , Comfort , Eco, Sports and Custom.
Kia K5 comes with devilish DRLs stretching all way round along its crystalline white headlamps to its lower bonnet giving this sedan a ferocious look. This new model will also be wider and longer than its predecessor. The lenght is increased by 50mm to 4905mm whereas width is increased by 25mm to 1860 mm. The wheel base has increased upto 2850mm. The sedan has experienced a decrease in height by 20 mm to 1445mm.
Back in the cabin , it is packed with central 10.2 inch touchscreen display along with 12.3 inch digital instrumentations. For the sound lovers this beast comes with 12- speaker Bose audio system, in cabin mood lights , climate control system ans wireless charging support. It also comes with 8 inch headup display helping driver to know whereabouts of the car. The car is expected to be launched in India with the price of around 16 lakhs as claimed by the company.
Kia K5 comes with hight tech security features namely smart cruize system , blind spot view monitor (BSM) with surround view monitor, Highway Driving Assist and Driver Attention Warning (DAW). The K5 will also get a Rear View Monitor (RVM) with Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist (PCA) along with Rear Cross-traffic Collision-avoidance Assist (RCCA). Along with this , K5 will also the first Kia car to get a new Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) that lets the driver to control his car through the keys of the Kia. It will get up to nine airbags in order to ensure the safety of the passengers.

The cost of each tyre in INR is Rs 22000 as these tyres comes with high durability , retaining more stress and for better performance for raised ground clearance and six-wheel drive. Thar comes with metal bumper with its classic vintage rounded headlamps along with fog lamps. It comes with 5-speed manual gearbox For driving this vehicle we need heavy motor license as the SUV is now modified to Heavy Motor Vehicle. Most probably the vehicle which is to be modified to 6x6 vehicle is Mahindra Thar but Mercedes has already introduced Its 4x4 AMG G-WAGON as Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 which costs around 3.8 crores.
But the Mahindra Thar to be modified by Xenex Studio would cost you around 4 lakhs to 6 lakhs. The 6x6 Mahindra Thar is not itself modified by its parent company (Mahindra Motors) so there are a few car customisation studios to meet the need of the wagon lovers.
